So I've been super busy and just trying to stay on top of all of my late summer adventures plus having art entered in a few area art Shows in which I did pretty well. I received a 3rd place award from the Thedford Art Show for my print "Moon Over Merriman". I received a 1st Place award at the Jane Keller Memorial Art Show in Bassett for "Moon Over Merriman". In Broken Bow at the Arrow Artist Show I received a 3rd Place for "Suits & Chaps" and An Award of Excellence for "Moon Over Merriman." In Valentine at the Sand Painters Open Art Show at the Cherry County Fair I received an Honorable Mention for "Suits & Chaps" and I received the Doug Ballard Memorial Award for "Moon Over Merriman". Next week I plan on having entries at the open show at the Keya Paha County Fair in Norden, NE. Until then I plan to keep shooting and editing. Moon Over Merriman

I was able to capture this show last November on my way home from Alliance last year when I was part of a show at the Carnegie Art Center. I was driving east on Hwy 20 and just kept watching this awesome moon. When I got to Merriman I seen this and knew I had to get it. So I quickly turned, went around the block and shot this over the top of my car. This is pretty much straight out of the camera. One of my favorite shots form 2016.

Suits & Chaps

Great shot from Interior, SD during the Stasche Bash in 2016. This is why you always keep shooting even after the ride. Love this shot!! Only one thing would have made it better.....this would have been my husband when he was still riding broncs. One of my favorite rodeo pics for sure!
